  • Clear and bright, medium ruby colour and presence of legs. The nose is clean and youthful, showing medium+ intensity simple aromas of blackberries, cassis, dark plums and liquorice. The wine is off-dry, with a medium- acidity, medium+ slightly coarse tannins, high alcohol, full body and pronounced intensity simple flavours of blackberries, cassis, dark plums and liquorice. Medium+ finish.

It is a good quality wine, it has a very good concentration of ripe fruit and a lingering finish, but it lacks aromatic complexity and it needs more acidity to balance the sweetness and high alcohol. Drink now, not suitable for ageing, it does not have enough acidity and the fruit will fade soon.

  • Not bad. Had it after a dinner of peppered/coffee rubbed steak I grilled. Maybe that stole this wine's thunder a bit. I'll try it next time with a dinner not so overpowering. Berries on the nose, dry finish.
