Surprisingly primary, although some spicy notes are emerging. Grapey dark fruit with some skin/stem tones. A little dilute on the palate. Hard to call whether this can age more; I get the vibe it is showing about all it has and will hollow out in time. Still, an interesting Chinon overall and a solid food wine, just not very complex at 12 years of age.

Nose has bell pepper and red cherry but also spicy oak notes. Palate similar. Acid there but oak too dominant for my personal taste. Lends the wine a sweet effect that is challenging. Nonetheless well made even if not to my liking.

No formal note, light cherry and bell pepper notes, with a nose that expresses more fruit than shows up in the palate. Air will take away some of the edge this starts out with.

Purple in color, nose is great with green bell pepper, a dark berry compote, occasional whiffs of sandlewood , dried undergrowth, soapstone.
The palate shows bright acidity, very dry, tart Raspberries. The finish is long.
The wine shows good complexity, offfers subtle changes when you revisit. Pure and focused, not muddled at all. Tannins are faded or minimal. I think it’s at a peak for me, without near term decline.
I really need to drink more wine like this.
