Have to admit I was really surprised with this wine. While S. Capiaux is a great winemaker from O'Shaunessey and makes impressive wines, I was expecting this to be another green 2011 Pinot from central coast area. The Garys' grapes really are strong for such a weak year in Northern/Central California. Blue fruit, wonderful lingering nose of ash and roses. Good structure, round and full with a mild-long lingering finish.

Always found Santa Lucia pinots distinctive, especially when from Pisoni and Gary's vineyards. This one is a little less fruity, less cherry cola but has the same effervescence. Vanilla nose, almost creamy. Tart, a little spicy, really nice finish. Will look for more.

Wow. No real change from prior tastings. Sadly my last bottle, time to find other vintages.

A very nice Pinot. Opened before Vince's Propertia Sperino Lessona at Bricco. Galloni's review hit the nail on the head. Love it.

Great Pinot. Fabulous yet subtle, smooth yet flavourful. Had to open a second.
