Nose of sweet cherry jam with baking spices and vanilla. Fairly rich and ripe mouth, but not as over the top as I was expecting based on the nose. Finishes hot, but with plenty of acidity - although the acidity seems a bit detached from the rest of the wine which has me wondering whether it may have been artificially acidulated.

I agree with Colima. When we first opened it and let it breath for an hour it was still "hot". The next day it seemed to settle down and really "opened up". Finally got the cherry and smooth tastes we remembered from the tasting room.

A bit unidimensional on day 1, but on day 2 this had opened up quite nicely. Tart red cherry, but very tasty, not overly so. Refined and elegant. Give this decanter time, or open in a year or two.
