Solid pizza night wine. Still good tannins; not too soft. Had kind of a weird lavender/plum/mint jam thing going on in the aftertaste, but didn’t stop people from drinking quickly.

Still dark ruby in color with little evidence of bricking. Somewhat muted darker red and black fruits on the nose with some spice and violet/roses/lavender elements emerging. Overwhelming impression is sweet, stewed fruits. On the palate, this wine is powerful with red and black plums, licorice, violets and roses, some brine and smoke. Medium plus acidity, medium tannins that are clearly present but soft. Medium to long finish with red and black cherry predominating and again with that floral characteristic. Even though common wisdom is to drink these wines young, I believe this still has quite a bit of life left in it. Woild not hesitate to drink now, but also think holding another year or two would be safe, if not necessarily rewarding.

Ready to drink, this light, flavorful wine was fairly well balanced with nice bright fruits (think blackberry and plumb) and a relatively neutral finish with soft floral notes.
Easy to swallow; the bottle didn't make it through the whole meal!
Much less crunchy than a bottled opened last summer.

Still drinking nicely without any noticeable signs of deterioration. Still a berry plum crackly mouthful.

Plum, savory and dirt. Nice rounded edges. Smooth drinker that paired well with dinner.
