Quite unlike any Mourvedre I've ever had. Quite light and elegant, no animal or sauvage qualities. The fruit was cool-toned, crisp and lifted, with great acidity and crazy minerality. A bit like a good cru Beaujolais, with its light-handed expression of fruit and granite minerality, but with a darker fruit profile. Unique and enjoyable with lamb.

Every bottle I've opened has been fantastic and this was no different. It's at once cool and refreshing, in a way, but also has a beautifully balanced concentration of dark mourvedre fruit. The acidity has continued to integrate in the past couple of years, where now it runs like a river through the ripeness, lifting the flavors very nicely. I only wish I had more.

I love this wine. It's so alive, with acidity that feels almost crunchy on the palate. The bouquet is great, with notes of plum skin, citrus pith, black cherries and strawberries, and an iodine/savory thing. It drinks like fresh grape juice that's buzzing with electricity. Great stuff.
