  • Pop and poured but enjoyed over a few hours. Nose is deep red/black fruit with prevalent spices. On the palate, it’s medium-plus but more fruit and less spice. Palpable that it’s on the higher ABV but not overpowering. Finish is enjoyable and lingers with cola and darker fruit. At age 12, it’s time to drink, but these will last a few more years yet. Enjoy!

  • Almost two years since our previous bottle and this wine continues to please. This bottle was opened for 45 minutes on the counter but improved after pouring our first glasses, so a short decant may be rewarded. Dark red and black fruits, plus some earth on the nose. The medium plus bodied palate showed these same dark red and black fruits in abundance, along with some spice, some earth and just a touch of cola. The acidity was nicely balancing and all tannins were completely resolved.
This wine delivers a hefty mouthful of pinot noir and while it may continue to hold it is really enjoyable now.

  • Nice ripe fruit and spice. Drinking well now.

  • Easter Dinner with Greg & Donna: Slo-oxed for ~30 minutes, and more is better. The wine was a clear purple with fading to the rim. The nose put forth plenty of dark red fruits (black cherry) along with a modest amount of earth. On the palate the wine showed medium plus body, with gobs of red and black cherries, some earth, some spice, sufficient acidity to balance, a touch of cola, and nicely integrated tannins. The wine could last another couple of years, but is highly enjoyable now.

  • It's the night before Easter, and I find myself comparing the bouquet of this wine to the tulips I brought my wife this afternoon. The wine is definitely more fragrant, with berries but something darker -- cola, stone and moss. The mouth feel is opulent, with lilacs and mocha; richness and balance.
