4th Saturday Group brown bagger (Our house): Double blind. Pale ruby color with notes of cherry and raspberry with hints of spice and cloves underneath. Spicy cherry and white currant fruit on the palate with a long, balanced finish. Picks up hints of orange zest as it opens in the glass. Lovely. Guessed Sonoma Coast Pinot.

First of all, GO! Team New Zealand!! (Mud House proudly sponsors America's Cup Emirates Team New Zealand, well, I know Napa Valley wine associates sponsor the whole America's Cup events in S.F.)
A typical Central Otago Pinot Noir. bright medium ruby with nice leg. nose is quite open, crashed strawberry, and other red fruits. racy acidity, fresh red berries, jammy, light body, simple but balanced, a little warm. medium fruity sweet finish. nearly same quality as previous vintage.
WS 88, BC 84, Bragato Gold, a Gold in Canada, Decanter Bronze, IWC Bronze

(Mud House Wines Pinot Noir) Medium cherry red color with pale meniscus; appealing, strawberry, strawberry cream, roses nose; tight, tart cherry, sous bois, tart cranberry, mineral palate with surprising density on a light frame; needs 1-2 years; medium-plus finish (10 different clones)

Tight, green and somewhat acidic. Forward fruit flavors, but goes the distance with lingering. A little hot still. Might need a year or two.

Under screw cap. Pretty good but uninspiring red fruits, the balance was slightly off but still seemed fresh. Mildly thin.
