Liked this alot again. Very minerally. the black olive, mineral type of syrah rather than the fruit and chocolate version. But very enjoyable with dinner. Seems like the previously noted village designate makes all the difference.

So this time I noticed that the wine is Vieilles Vignes des Cadinieres. Were the last two just the regular St. Gervais or not? Anyhow, at first no noticable nose and little taste - but none of the flaws of the prior two bottles. Then it opened up in the decanter. Would have been better a year or two ago but still nice. Very grenache with a herbaceousnecss coming out after a few hours. Herbs, tea, raspberries and cherries.

Nasty. Cloudy, oxidized, funky just bad. I expected more from Kermit Lynch and Texier, especially after the success of bottle one. Something, probably a spoilage organism, seems to have affectet this in the bottle but the defect is due to bad winemaking, not a bad external factor like cork so it is fair to rate is for shit.

Opened this because the first one was so disapointingly bad. Again sour enough to make your tongue hurt. Not corked just acidic beyond enjoyable drinking.

Drank during son's baptism weekend with family so no detailed notes. I remember it was better than I thought it would be and certainly worth $18.
