Light in fruit, medium bodied in weight, round in texture and open, there is a distinctive oaky component that is a bit too much for the red, fruit that is trying to show itself. If the oak manages to dissipate, this will be a better wine.

Purple at the rim - dark fruits and toffee on the nose. Medium to full bodied, ripe fruit driven blackberry palate - a bit loose and flabby but quite aromatic, hefty tannins. Improves quite significantly with a couple of hours in the decanter, a little lacking in depth.
