  • 13% alcohol.

Quite deep and moderately intense golden yellow color. Moderately developed and somewhat savory nose with aromas of overripe apple, some waxy tones, a little bit of damp wool, light autumnal notes of leaves and a hint of something like wet animal. The wine is moderately full-bodied, dry and rather evolved on the palate with flavors of waxy character, cantaloupe, some overripe apple, light nutty tones, a little bit of woolly lanolin, a hint of exotic spice and a touch of salinity. The overall feel is starting to get somewhat flat and tired. The medium-to-moderately high acidity keeps the wine in balanced, but doesn't lend much freshness or sense of structure to the wine. The finish is dry, round and somewhat rich yet dull with quite lengthy flavors of woolly lanolin, wet stones, some animal tones, a little bit of oxidative nuttiness and a hint of mushy, overripe apple.

Feels like a white wine that is older than is necessary. It isn't fully oxidized nor have the flavors faded away, but it nevertheless is lacking freshness and vibrancy, coming across just dull, tired and woolly. Can't say this is particularly enjoyable anymore. Stylistically feels somewhat similar to the Pinot Bianco 2008 that was tasted alongside, but lacking in fruit and freshness. Most likely this might've been great some 5 years ago, but doesn't offer much or any pleasure anymore.

  • pale, gold -tinged colour. pleasing, delicate, sauvignon-like grassy nose mingled with fresh floral tones, and a hint of orange blossom. slightly viscous, smooth mouthfeel, good acidity, a touch of sweetness in a somewhat crude, tropical, lemony, simple but pleasant enough flavour. slightly bitter remains and a hint of minerally smoke in finish. could improve for 3-5 years.

  • Light golden color. Aromas of fresh herbs, tropical fruits, honey, white pepper, and a bit of petrol which might hint towards riesling if I were drinking it blind. Fullish body with viscosity and great texture—this rolls around and coats the mouth beautifully, good acidity and length, and flavors of tropical fruits, bitter citrus peel, saline, sliced almond, and lingering minerality. Worked well with a pasta primavera tonight, but might be even better sipping afterwards, and would be great with all manner of seafood. Really solid juice here. CT consensus is "best by 2016" but this is drinking great right now and I'd imagine has another year or two easy.

  • Nice bright pale golden color with a nice thick glicerine to it. A nice floral nose " fleur d'oranger" , very smooth and elegant. Nice structure with a lovely well ballanced acidity and a very good length.bone dry, You can feel a very nice concentration and acertain minerality to the end with a slight lichy aftertaste. I really enjoyed this wine but you need to like pinot blanc from Friuli.
