  • Decanted from 9L. This held up better than I had hoped. Garnet color with slight bricking of the edges. Complex nose of dried flowers and red fruit. Silky palate with dry tannins on the finish.

  • A nice purplish-ruby in the glass, the nose was of black cherry, currant and mocha. Upon opening was quite impressive, full-bodied and tight. Subsequently decanted for two hours, which probably over-decanted it, unfortuntally. Now was less bright, more smooth, blue and black fruits with mocha and less of a finish. I think that simply opening and waiting 30 minutes would have been better for this, which makes sense given a 2001 providence. Live and learn. I was very impressed when initially opened, however, and everything I've tasted from Cliff Lede has been superb!

  • Beautiful nose of blackberry, followed by a feminine but well defined palate of berry and currant. Finishing with smooth tannins. All in all, a very respectable effort. As an aside, I have tried many of the offerings from Cliff Lede and am quite impressed. Keep up the good work.
