I helped make this wine while working in the cellars at Heller Estate (formerly Durney Vineyards) in Carmel Valley. Consumed in 2023 with alumni from that era (Rich the winemaker, his wife Jamil who also worked with us, Rachel Baker the wine club manager at the time and Ben Edwards, who was a top tasting room host) We are all friends to this day so the bottle was more sentimental. In fact we didn't really evaluate it too much but rather drank it as it was meant to be.

Simply outstanding bottle of wine in every way. Great nose followed by blended silky big fruit. This wine is wonderful right now and is not yet at its peak.
I wish I had more bottles.
