Opened 02/27 and drank 1/4, reclosed and drank the rest 02/28. Pours an amber/gold, cloudy. Really fascinating wine, one that I enjoyed. Tons of spicy phenolics work with lemons and white flowers to create some complex aromas and flavors. Excellent acidity provides structure. On the second day it was more savory than the first, with beef broth and white flowers leading the way. Marvelous stuff.

Somewhat closed at first, but keeps opening up and improving with air, and at an hour or two it really blossoms. Interesting and attractive aromas - pear, grape, stone fruit, grain, olive oil, peanut, honey, garrigue - indeed smelling like a blend of white and orange wine. On the palate, juicy and full of flavor, quite tasty, with excellent acidity, a modicum of tannic grip, and compelling savoriness. Nice pear, grape, apricot, honey, grain, orange peel, and herb flavors, a bit beerlike (along the lines of a tripel). Medium-full bodied, a touch oily. Fairly long finish, with lingering orange peel. Fresh and lively while also complex and interesting, this blend works really well.

Yeasty and herby, smells French. Looks like it has some skin contact on it too. More skin contact smells then Grenache blanc smells? Wine making in the other direction? Ahh, on the back of the palate is the Grenach Blanc, with some texture, I would guess definitely long skin contacts. Very interesting, not over done wine.

Nose of straw, pears, honey & cloves. Palate of lemon & apple cider. Lingering finish.
