Light gold. Classic oyster shell and mineral with a wet chalky underneath and orchard fruit: green apples, lemon drops and ripe grapefruit slices A racked back strident acidity; this is a grippy, linear and poised wine with a metallic streak that gives a tightness to the wine yet there is that classic Chablis soft underbelly of lees showing as creme fraiche despite no oak noted. A saline, slaty and lemon verbena finish the wine off with a medium long finish.

Light yellow-gold colour, the nose is reticent at first with some lemon drop, mineral and chalky notes. There is also a whiff of sulphur which does blow off to a point but never goes away. As the wine warmed, the fruit became more prominent. The palate shows quite a lot of mineral/saline character, firm acidity, lemon/grapefruit and stony flavours. It is a quite old fashioned Chablis in its stony, slatey flavours. I am drinking it as I write, and it is a wine that will not suit everyone. I like the style however, and would happily drink it any day.

Light-to-medium yellow, freshly acidic and mineral-laden, this is a delicious, terroir-driven Chablis that is effusive of flint, lime zest and white flowers. Light-bodied and with nicely integrated alcohol (12.5%), it stays solid in the middle and closes with a medium-length, crisp finish. As is the case with most Chablis offerings, this will be underestimated if not allowed to fully blossom. Drink 2019-2024.

Chablis-athon (Chicago, IL): Quite nice and open for business right now. Good mineral quality, and a moderate (for Chablis) acidic streak. Bright, cheerful, and open for business now.

Mid bronze to brown edge, the wine is smooth with a hint of toffee and sherry aldehydic elements, but sadly no fruit.
