NOSE: petrol; botrytis spice -- marmalade and honey; wax beans; bouquet loses intensity in the glass, as it's at its best immediately after pouring; moderately expressive.

BODY: striking golden yellow color of great depth; full bodied; sediment present.

TASTE: petrol and botrytis from bouquet is repeated on palate; lush mouthfeel; much more intense on the front palate than the rear; a touch of ripe pineaple; a note of papaya comes through on the short finish (15 sec.); 9% alc.. For me, this is a "desert wine"-style Riesling. A pleasure to drink, but not quite as "stuffed" as I prefer -- I loved the flavors, but wish they were longer-lasting. Although this tastes great now, there's nothing to indicate this won't last many more years in the cellar.
