Opened up nice and smooth and leathery. But when I came back to it a few hours later it had turned into a weird, disjointed, sarsaparilla mess. Not undrinkable, but strange for such a stark contrast in such a short period of time.

Tasting Notes The dusty richness of mourvedre provides an uplifting aromatic quality. Married with the spicy savoury characters of Hunter shiraz it produces a wine with interesting structure and complexity. The wine is full bodied with soft vanillan characters imparted by the use of select French oak. The tannins are savoury and long and fill out the mid palate of the wine. Enjoy now or cellar over the next 10 years for added complexity.
