Full, persistent aromas of red apple, peach, pineapple, honey, slate and a hint of petrol. Medium bodied in the mouth, a slight spritz, high, tongue tingling acid, great weight and fullness, yet fresh, round, very mineral, clean, long, balanced, poised. I can really feel that acid but it is the body, extract and persistence of this wine that impresses. Great with a not-too-sweet tonkatsu.

This had a great evolution over 2 nights. Very lively out of the gate, then showing quite dry through night 1. Evening 2 it was in a great spot. My buddy GnS nailed it - green apples, clean balanced acidity... but just a beautiful body.
Good stuff. Good value. More please.

Sweet and sour apple, great acidity and great weight on the palate. Very generous flavor intensity with the structure to back it up. This is absolutely killer at the price.

Howard Ripley 2012 German Tasting (London): Pre-release sample. Stony, green apple nose. Bright entry and then slightly chalky through the mid-palate. Grapefruit with a touch of spice on the finish. 16.5/20.

Day 3 in the Mosel - Schaefer/Selbach-Oster/Prum (Mosel Saar Ruwer - Germany): A very fresh and lively wine. Scents of pineapple, and some faint lychee come through. Lots of rugged minerals...definitely a bit austere. 7 grams residual sugar.
