Decanted off of a fair amount of sediment and sampled over 90 mins. Deep garnet with no real sign of bricking. Nice nose of cedar and the various components of blackberry pie. Rich and firm on the palate, full-bodied, with some cherry flavors. Firm is the key word to describe the texture. Finishes well, with grippy but light and velvety tannins. This wine is still somewhat tightly wound, and could still improve in the bottle I think. If I had any more of this I would hang onto it for several more years. It's somewhat pricey but it could turn out to be worth it.

Mild cork taint but would have nice otherwise.
