Bought this bottle five years ago in Freiburg, close to the vineyard. I was a bit hesitant to open it, as Spätlese usually needs some time to develop.
However, at 5.3 g/L RS, this Gewürztraminer is not too sweet; especially, the delicate herbal and spicy Gewürztraminer notes are still very prominent. In addition, some secondary salty notes have developed, which have probably not been there 2-3 years ago. This is very interesting to drink right now and I do not regret storing the bottle for the last 5 years,
