Funny. Why on day two can this suddenly be smelled from across the room? Pear, melon, wet granite, its seems to be so much more today than it was yesterday. And then succulent with delicious structure across the palate and a lingering finish. Wasn't like this yesterday... shocking. Meaning shockingly good.

Apparently the year of Saint Veran exploration for me. Has a leesy, rice milk like nose which seems to be (to me) a combination of Chardonnnay fruit and a touch of stony mineraliness. in a word, its there, a simple wine giving up a bit more than is neccessiary to succsed in its class.

Medium yellow. Typical Maconnais aromas of buttered popcorn and tropical fruit. Medium weight, ripe but not sugary, minimal wood flavors, reasonable acidity. Nice wine.

very nice considering the difficulty of the vintage. took an hour or two to open up, would definitely try again.

Enjoyable, summer chard, light to medium body with notes of lemon and citrus fruit. Good with fish, vegetable pasta
