(Thomas Fogarty Pinot Noir Henry Ayrton's Block Rapley Trail Vineyard) Medium dark ruby color; appealing, ripe cherry, clove, anise, black cherry nose; dense, tight, ripe raspberry, ripe cherry, tart cherry palate with sweet tannins; good now but could use 2 years; medium-plus finish (Martini clone; 12.8% alcohol; planted in 1983; sample provided by winery)

This is very good, especially at the price. very santa cruz mountain pinot.
