Drinking this when the current release is '12 or '13.
I last drank this a couple of years ago and was not overly impressed - ok but not worth a grand cru label, but for the price not bad.
Today it has mellowed, despite initial impression (rapidly corrected) that it was still hard and acidic. After an hour in decanter and vinturi, mineral and damsons blended well with almond tannins to work well with a simple mid-week meal

On opening, hard as a rock and not much better even after subjecting it to a run through Vinturi. Faint hits of tea and smoke, with some tart unripe cherry buried somewhere down there. Bitter and astringent. Put it down and wait 5 years.
