Strong nose of lime leaf, lemongrass, and snow peas, with a slightly pungent note (custard apple? durian?). Palate shows crisp acidity and strong flavours of lemongrass and lime zest. Has a firm body, with touches of glycerin and chalk. Becomes chalkier with time.

{screwcap, 13.5%} Overwhelmingly lime and lychee upon opening. Picks up some gooseberry with air. Lots of flavour (per the nose), heightened by fairly soft acid. Has a salty, mineral, almost talc-like texture. Dry too. Medium-bodied; it's fairly solid for a Marlborough savvy. No oak, although with more cellar time (which I really wouldn't recommend) I could imagine this 'faking' a bit of oak. Has some mid-palate presence too, which you only seem to get when you pay $20+ from this region. Good wine, but ready now.

NobleRottersSydney - Andrew's return (Bondi Icebergs): {screwcap, 14%} Much more restrained than its older sibling, this still offers a pungent, somewhat sweaty asparagus-scented nose. There’s greater depth of flavour on the palate here; albeit still with a fair whack of gooseberry. Medium acid, medium body, and a medium-length finish too. No oak, as usual. Decent wine.

State Line 20-20 Annual Tasting 2014 (State Line, Elkton MD): A breakfast wine for the ages. It tastes eactly like grapefruit juice. A long finish...of grapefruit juice. If this is your style, you will love it.
