The Pinot Princess and I agree on this one. To the nose, earth and cherry (red and black), some plum, very slight cola or vanilla (it was still on cold-side). To the palate, red cherries > cranberry, black cherries (so slightly sour/bitter); increase plum as warms. Earth is there - vegetal and green becomes more mushroom as it warms - or is it herbs (thyme, with sage?). Cinnamon with pepper moves to pepper (black, not white) as it warms. Silky tannins which are mild. No leather, smoke or tobacco. Medium light to light in body. Recommend letting it approach room temperature. Good QPR at $10.
