  • 55% Cab Sauv., 40% Merlot, 5% Cab Franc and Unfiltered. This has a red-dark purple color, yet not as dense as other young 00 Bdx I've tasted. Immediately I like the nose, soft pleasant ripe plum, faint cedar, mocha, spice, and some licorice notes. There's an immediate rush of sweet juicy fruit that tails off for a moment before it picks up with spice and plum. It finishes with notes of lingering spicey oak, leather, plum, and hints of chocolate. The sweet tannins are ok, maybe not enough to sustain for a decade, but enough for the next 5-6 years. An awesome QPR at $9.99.
