  Pop and poured. Drank over 1.5 hours. At B&B PP.
  Appearance is clear, medium intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
  Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of floral violets & roses, fresh minty garden, dark red cherries, sweet spice, and slight white pepper with more air. Developing.
  On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium+ alcohol (14.5%), initially fine high tannins becoming increasingly puckery with air, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of black cherries, dark red cherries, dark plums, slight blueberry. Long puckery finish.
  Very good quality. Commendable fruit concentration here, but would have been better to have kept a lid on the formidable tannins. Maybe another 2-3 years will help the tannins to tame down a bit. Just as floral as I remember the varietal to be, with this coming in a big dark fruity package.

  Dark purple. Brambly black fruit. Medium bodied, ripe, bright semi sweet raspberry/black cherry fruit. Big up front rich semi sweet finish

  Extremely floral nose, rose-ish. Tannic in the mouth to start, faded within 15 minutes. Floral in the mouth, matching the nose. Surprising balance and finesse in such a young wine. Perfect match for guinea fowl, the acidity cutting right through the fattiness of the roasted bird.
