Decanted and served over a two hour period. The tannins and acidity were very well integrated. Essence of black peppercorns, ripe figs, mo ha and pencil shavings. Wonderful mouthfeel and finish. Layers of bing cherries, mocha, figs and licorice.

This was enjoyable with skirt steak; still overall developing positively for my tastes; beginning to show a bit of more secondary development on the nose with a hint of leather and leaf litter; dark cassis and blueberry, some sweet spice and floral notes. The palate still has good energy and the concentration is good without the wine feeling heavy. Drinking well and likely still improving for another 5-10 years.

Still developing nicely and integrating the oak well. This has lots of dark fruits, still with hints of vanillin from the barrels, but not obtrusive, hints of graphite. Definitely still on the upswing for development for at least 5-8 years.

This was much better than the last bottle I had of this wine . It is developing nicely. It is still dark purple with a huge nose of cassis, violets, blackberry, pepper, and a hint of vanilla. The palate is rich, yet fairly well balanced with well integrated tannins and enough acidity to keep it fresh and tasty. The finish is pleasant and lingers for 45 seconds. This is really good now, but I think with another 8-10 years in bottle will probably be at a delicious peak.
