Lucky us to find this on the discount rack of one of our favorite retailers. Lively pungent nose of ripe blackberry and black cherry in some minerality. Big viscosity, mouth coating, purple teeth red and dark fruit entry. Some South African funky, musty terroir. Still vibrant balancing acid. Seems to have a still prominent dose of oak. Starting to get some of those maturing secondary rich licorice and tar secondary flavors. Lots of mouth drying tannins. Could use a decant or easily age several more years.

Did not like this at all when I bought it but now I loved it. Excellent over two days.

Outstanding QPR. Very terroir-driven with chewy tannins and long finish. Bought more.
