Words are failing me now....all I can say is Wow! (believe me, I normally eschew exclamation points, but this situation definitely calls for one) This wine is priced at a mere $72 US, which is quite reasonable for a restaurant.
The nose is pure and sweet vanilla and dark cherry.
The mouth recaps the dark cherry and the vanilla (recast as Breyer's ice cream) but is fortified with blueberry, coffee grounds (Folgers or Maxwell House, not any of that nasty Starbucks-style stuff), and just a pinch of oak.
The wine was immediately approachable but its tannins hint that it will stay viable for the next 4-8 years.
I am going to endeavor to obtain as much of this nectar as I can.
