This wine was quite long-lived. I opened it originally a week ago. Decanted it for a couple of hours, and enjoyed 2 glasses from the 750ml bottle. Good stuff, although a bit high strung, as young Red Mountain wines typically are. BIG black cherry fruit, structure, oak, with tannins evident. Great flavors though, and I enjoyed the wine completely. I had funneled into a 375ml bottle, and then stored it in the wine fridge. Had another glass on Day 2, and it had smoothed out slightly, but was still quite huge. Damn tasty though. Put it back in the wine fridge (375ml bottle still) and forgot about it. Flash forward to a full week since I first opened it, and I decided to take a chance on the remaining glass left in the 375. Wow. Smooth, good fruit, just the slightest hint of porty fruit, but otherwise incredibly good for being open for a week. For $19 at Fred Meyer, I'm all over this one! Initial score: 90. Day 2 score: 93. Day 7 score: 89. Average of 91.
