  • Fruit forward nose with blackberry and plum. Medium body with deep red color. Silky mouth feel with good tannin structure and finishes quickly. Fruit is bold but again, quick lived. Both rich and bright fruit, raspberry and plumb with some chocolate in the finish. More chocolate than cocoa. I like that this merlot is not a fruit bomb.

  • Surprisingly enjoyed this even more the second time around, along with the shock that this wasn't just a fluke. The nose was open and rich with cassis, licorice, earth, vanilla/oak, and dark berries. It has medium plus body, with delicious red and black fruits, and good/judicious oak supporting. Sports mellow to moderate tannins and finishes well. An unexpected Napa glory. 13.5% Abv

  • Thought this was a beauty. Licorice, plum, and with good freshness on the nose. Light to medium bodied palate, with nice florals, tasty tart red fruits and a little bit of green bell pepper popping out. Finishes well, medium in length and with good grip. While tasting this, I guessed at a Merlot based blend and the producer's website confirms this. 6% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Malbec, 5% Cab Franc, and 4% Petit Verdot. Lovely stuff. 13.5 ABV listed.
