  Double-decanted 2 hrs 12/16/2023: lean, light-to-medium body, still tart but not as closed and tart as 3 years ago when I opened my first bottle. Still slow to evolve. Left open 3-4 more hours after the first meal. Day 2: served with roast guinea hen stuffed with pomegranate seeds and marsala sauce (Mario Batali recipe)--rounder, greater body, fuller nose--very good match in the end. But it still required patience.

  A little rough on it’s own, but FANTASTIC with seared lamb chops. Very full-bodied for a Pinot Noir.
  Buy it if you can find it.

  A bit closed and shut down - quite different from previous bottles. Not nearly as easy to enjoy. Fruit was muted and barely noticeable, even if non-fruit characteristics (mostly damp dirt and dried leaves and mushrooms) were enjoyable. Good acidity and minerality.

  Similar to previous bottles, albeit more youthful and tannic. (Perhaps not surprising, as this bottle’s cork was exceptionally tight).
