(Sanguis Mule) Opaque purple red violet color; aromatic, roasted berry, violets, tart black fruit, pepper, roast coffee nose; rich, youthful, reductive, medium-plus bodied, roast coffee, tart roasted black fruit, light pepper, light hickory smoke palate; needs 4-5 years; long finish (72% Syrah, 21% Grenache, 3% Cabernet Franc, 2% Viognier, 2% Roussanne; 14.3% alcohol; 19 months in 30% new French oak) 92+ points

Pop and pour. Juicy cocktail wine with a cornucopia of fruit flavors, still bright and youthful with easy tannins. Drink up.

Syrah/granache blend. Amazing QPR. 30 minute decant. Bold, deep fruit flavors, balanced by earthy/savory depth. The more central coast Syrah I drink, the more I drink. Will be getting some more.

Pop and pour. Such delicious flavors in this Syrah-Grenache-Cab Franc-Rousanne blend. The dark fruit, light spice, chocolate, and citrus are melting together and filling the palate beautifully. Tannins are almost unwound but still present. Drink in the next couple years.

Pop and pour. This continues to show well with lush red and black fruit and a little citrus. A mature Sanguis "workhorse" that I would drink now and over the next few years.
