Clear, dark garnet with some bricking. Aroma of plum, tobacco. Definitely benefits from a short decant or a healthy swirl. Heavy tobacco and cigar box on the palate, a bit unexpected for 90% merlot, even more so for 2010 vintage. (i'd expect these flavors to develop later). But it is from medoc, and not libournais -- but knowing it to be 90% merlot up front, my palate was expecting a more right-bank profile. This is definitely a hearty left bank style.
Definitely a food wine, this would pair nicely with charcoal-grilled meats.

Very light. Tobacco sent and chalky aftertaste. Definitely overpriced bottle.
