Still holding up pretty well, 11 years on. Candied stone fruits - peaches, apricots, white figs. Some almond and hazelnut notes and just a bit of autolysis. More linear than rounded I'd say. Drink now, probably won't go any longer.

With none of the painful austerity of the house's Extra Brut, this one manages to be very approachable and enjoyable while still retaining a good level of food friendliness. Considering how neutral the still Prié Blancs often taste I was really surprised how ripe and expressive this wine's fruit is. To me it comes off as a sort of Champagne-Prosecco blend - structure reminding of the former and slightly sweetish fruitiness of the latter. Not an earth-shattering fizz by any means but structured and refreshing, and considering the novelty factor I find the 12 € ex-cellar price totally reasonable. Quite nice with whitefish roe and cold smoked salmon blinis.

Sydney Italian Wine Festival - Sparkling Masterclass (Sydney, Australia): Bruised apple, some earth and sherry - plenty of interest. Has good texture and acidity, with a good balance between savoury and sweet notes. Very good.
