This is singing right now. The nose is ready for summer with a mix of sweet cherry, root beer, plum, Twizzlers and incense. The palate initially hits with a dose of plum, blackberry, cherry cola and cedar, but then reveals some steel, flint and cranberry, plus a few more of those Twizzlers. Despite the presence of blackberry and cranberry, there is hardly any noticeable acidity, although the back of the tongue can sense a tiny bit of tartness. It also doesn't show its tannins, but the inner cheeks say it's there. As a fan of fruit-forward grenache, this is really working for me.

Popped off the glass cork to discover blackberry, plum, cherry, white pepper and earth on the nose. Tastes mostly like strawberry mixed with cherry cola and cedar, then add a bit of raspberry and pepper, and just a hint of herbal cough drop. Medium to long cherry finish. Almost has a touch of fizz on the tongue and some tannins in the cheek. Tastes like it easily has a good couple of years left in it.
