At release, I bought this because it seemed interesting to combine all these grapes in one wine. Chardonnay, Grenache, Marsanne, Roussanne and Viognier seems quite unlikely to match. The first tasting were inconclusive and I did not like this a lot. Too funky and out of balance. Now though, this thing came together, clearly led by Chardonnay, it is still an intense wine, but with less weight and intrusiveness. Loads of mango, pears, spices and melon, this is definitely not a burgundy style wine. But it has some nice minerality and has tremendous charme on its own, brings a lot of pleasure accompanying food. And this deserves to be recognized. A great composition, showing no signs of age. Kudos to the makers!

My second and last bottle is a bit different from the previous one 5 years ago, so I'll add a new note. The color is now a fairly deep golden color. I'm not getting any alcohol spike and the fruit is more muted as well. More savory than fruity now with saline and nutty qualities and a viscous, oily Rhone-like texture. Some tropical mango, pineapple, papaya, and smoke on the nose as well, along with banana, papaya, and passionfruit on the palate. Fullish body, medium acid and finish. Interesting wine. I like it. 90-91

Nose: Projected aromas of butterscotch, toffee, charred oak, creme brulee. Very few fruit aromas.
Mouth: Tertiary flavors are very forward, fruit has dropped out. Some bruised apricot and lemon curd is left center stage, flanked by pastry crust and vanilla pudding on the drydown. Quite sweet. Body is still quite a bit of energy for being a 6 year old white. No cleanup on the finish, almost cloying. At this point, still very complex, vivid and very much with identity - almost a dessert wine now however.
