  • On the nose very pure, concentrated botrytis, honey, caramel and a wide array of tropical fruits. On the palate rich, powerful, almost opulent. Creamy texture. Close to a BA in style. Beautiful wine!

  • Youthful pale yellow-green color. Very expressive and really intense, sweet nose with pronounced honey aromas and very fruity notes of canned peaches, ripe pineapple, some dried apricots and a hint of vague spiciness. The wine is really intense, very sweet and medium-bodied on the palate and it feels sticky and racy at the same time. There are rich, powerful and intense flavors of steely minerality, clear syrup, dried pineapple, lemon marmalade, some canned peaches and a hint of ripe tangerine. The wine feels really youthful, primary and very structured, thanks to the bracing, lemony acidity. The finish is almost searing in its cloying sweetness with very intense and juicy flavors of honey, dried pineapple, lemon marmalade, tangerine, some dried apricots and a hint of white syrup. The sweet, complex and very fruity finish just lingers on and on.

A wonderfully intense, concentrated and powerful Auslese to which the racy acidity gives tremendous focus and persistence. The wine is almost painfully young now and there is definitely no need whatsoever to open these bottles. As the wine is obviously meant for the long haul, I'd suggest leaving these wines in a cellar for the next 10-15 years, at least. Tremendous stuff, highly recommended.
