  • True to vintage and village. On the austere and traditional side. I often find volnay to be stronger than ppl think and this wine supports that. It has the roses and floral tones almost like a barolo, and it is very dry, but it has deep black fruit as well. Some green 2011 flavors but they don't detract here since it appears so correct in all other ways. A Rosenthal import and obviously so. Still young. Great wine from a great producer.
