  • Very pale greenish color. Rich, open and aromatic nose with notes of ripe Granny Smith, some herbal greenness, a little bit of vague spicy character and a hint of more Pinot Gris-than-Pinot Grigio yellow stone fruit. The wine is ripe, lively and fruity on the palate, but surprisingly acid-driven - even crisp and racy - on the palate with moderately full body. There are rather straightforward flavors of tart Granny Smith apple, some lemony tartness and a hint of smoke. The finish is long, crisp and mouth-cleansing with fresh flavors of tart green apples and lemon-driven citrus fruits.

A very simple and one-dimensional white. The nose suggested this could be more fruitier and complex effort, akin to German Grauburgunder or Alsatian Pinot Gris, but on the palate the wine was as simple and boring as your run-of-the-mill Italian Pinot Grigio. Offers very little to none of anything that would keep me interested even over one small tasting sample. Pass.
