Hard to believe there still is red fruit in this. Notes of savory herbs, cedar, blood. On the palate, it is bright, red fruited and with rusty nail and sanguine notes. The finish is vibrant, elegant and alive. I think this can hold for another five to ten years but why risk it. Beautiful bottle.

Bright translucent garnet with orange cast and modest clear rim; solid secondary scents at first, then glorious old red cherry fruit and sous bois lead a gush of tertiary characteristics. Seasonally appropriate pile of autumn leaves, beef bouillon, blood iron; impressively sturdy yet impeccably balanced. Good acidity holds things together and carries through a wonderfully long finish. This pristine bottle could have cellared another 20 years, easily.

Excellent fill, but totally dried-out, impossible to remove cork. Soupy, rusty nail, slightly over-the-hill aromatics, minor fruit, and marred by some volatile acidity. But since it's still drinkable, and sort of interesting in that old burgundy way, I'll score it an 87. Can't believe the other taster rated it so highly, but maybe my bottle was defective.

Really wonderful nose. Open, balanced and complex, with bright red fruits, strawberries and rowanberry jelly, fine furniture wood, a hint of fudge, rusty iron and iodine saltiness. On the palate its main feature is the high and vividly fruity acidity that melds perfectly with the intensely concentrated red-fruity flavours. The tannins are rather light but fine. There's no bitterness, nothing drying or disturbing. The finish just goes on and on, spearheaded by the brilliant acidity. A wow experience!
