Bright garnet in color with ruby edge. Nose of violets, peaches, hint of leather. Taste of cherries, rhubarb, tobacco, and hint of tar. Young, with sneaky tannins, pronounced acidity, and elegant structure. Drink in 2-4 years and over the next decade.

Thin, hard and awkward. Fruitless and charmless. Gets marginally better with some time. The next night is a bit better - some fruit. A bit spiky on the finish. Poor value.

PnP. Decent lower end barolo. Part modern, part traditional. On a QPR basis, I have a couple of others in mind that get more bang for the buck, but they lean more modern.

Did not like the wine initially, but had another glass about three hours later and I liked it better.
