  • The wine shows a clear, fairly deep golden-lemon colour. The nose is really inviting and is full of ripe stone/tropical fruits like pineapple, peach and apricot. There is also a clear sign of some oaky notes, like vanilla and ripe bananas, but it smells really balanced. On the palate it is dry with med. acidity, med.+ body, and a medium finish. There is a slight bitterness to the finish, but the harsh citrus taste is predominate and makes the overall tasting experience even worse. It really lacks acidity to become an enjoyable bottle of wine. It's a great wine to smell but not to drink by itself. Maybe some food would help. The wine's really showing it's "best" right now, drink up soon. Too expensive (or too cheap for a good Beaune chardonnay) for the 25 euros I paid for it.

  • Clean and fresh, but not too exciting for $40.
