Picked it up at the winery just last week, apparently it was hiding in the store room. Not as complex as their more recent releases, but pretty good. Definitely at the stage where it isn't going to get much better, so will be working through the other bottles ASAP

Rather an odd in-your-face aroma that seems like a different grape, not sure what type. Doesn't really taste like a zin, despite the wide variety of styles of zins. In a recent group tasting I got several similar comments. Very surprising that Parker and WS each gave it 91 points. Having said that, it's a decent wine that would go well with savory food with a strong fruit component.

A nose of some dark fruit and spice, dark garnet in color. A medium to full bodied Zin, with black cherry, plum, earth, spice on finish, was a bit disappointed overall. www.winelx.com

(Limerick Lane Zinfandel Russian River Valley) Dark purple red violet color; rich, ripe berry, berry pie, chocolate nose; poised, tart blackberry, berry syrup, boysenberry palate with good balance; medium-plus finish (15.1% alcohol) 92+ points
