Upon opening the nose was concentrated alcohol (label says 14.7% ABV which is high for an Oregon Pinot). Fruit was bomb-like upon opening. This along with high ABV makes me wonder if this Alexana is irrigated rather than dry-farmed. After two hour decant, alcohol nose was gone with bouquet showing dried plum and some tobacco nuances. Fruit was fine but not robust and pleasing. Either this wine was into a dumb phase or it is in decline.

Given the price, really unimpressive. Very boring pinot flavor

Same rating as last year.
The 2012 Revana has held up nicely but its going on its final journey. Still has life but enjoy it this year IMO.

Had last night with Chanterelle mushrooms. This wine is in a great place. I wish I had more.
