One and a half hour decant, drank over next one and a half hours. Time was good to this wine. Black to deep red edge. Some tobacco (cigar box), cassis and cherry on the nose. Rich red fruit, good balance and nice tannic backbone. Still young. Nose picked up a bit of perfume over time. Very nice wine. May have to revise my take on the 2011 vintage. This is good now with air, but may have the stuffing to keep for some years to come. Bought on sale at $20.00. Good QPR at that. Not chasing (even a good year) at $30.00+.

Nice red, but not intense color. Nose of cherry, chili and "Sonoma cab fruit" (sorry, don't have a better descriptor after a full bottle of wine). Some complexity and perfume. Fruit and acid both forward - a good wine with food. Nice finish. Not sure this was worth $30/bottle, but a very good value at $17.99. Wish I had bought more. Definite large step up from regular Sonoma bottling from Sebastiani (also quite good). Might reward some cellaring, but you can drink and enjoy now.

4th Saturday Group brown bagger (Mark & Rochelle's): Aromas of chocolate with dust, plum and currants underneath. Full-bodied with flavors of black fruit and chocolate with firm, chalky tannins. Finishes a bit short. Not something I'd seek out.

This was a nice surprise. It had a lot of characteristics of a really big Napa Cabernet, but it was just a little dilute. At this price point, that's not a serious criticism though. Excellent QPR.
