Several hours of decanting required. Earthy red tart fruit. A little hollow from mid on, lacking stuffing. Oak influence. Feels like potential but comes forth lightly. That was day one. Two days later, the wine actually came together in a much more organized way. The oak is still strong but the fruit is emboldened and the finish has lengthened. Acid comes through more prominently. Curious wine that I ultimately came to like as much as the wine I'd sampled in the winery's tasting room.

Well aged, old glove leather, blackberry, raspberry, great weight. Really nice length, excellent example of Long Island.
