Quite opaque color of blackberrry juice. Sweet aromas of ripe blackcurrants and blackberries with some rich notes of peppered plum jam. Rich, round and quite full-bodied on the palate with almost sweet flavors of jammy blacberries, ripe dark plums, some peppery spice and a hint of smoke. Quite pure, varietally true taste, but in a very ripe style. Rather soft structure with medium acidity and medium tannins, making the wine come across as pretty mellow and beginner-friendly. The finish is bit more coarse and gritty with more pronounced spicy, peppery flavors along with ripe flavors of sweet plums and hints of blackberry jam.
An acceptable and pretty drinkable new world Syrah in which the warm climate is pretty evident in the sweet, almost jammy fruit flavors and rather low acidity. Gets quite blowzy on its own, but works quite nicely with spicy and hearty Moroccan food. Priced according to its quality at 11,10€ for a 16 cl glass in a restaurant.

This is a fantastic wine! Enjoyed a number of time in Morocco and on assessing again in England it still delivers. Rich fruit, great acidity, complex nose. Will be back for more.

(Domaine des Ouleb Thaleb Syrah Tandem) Dark red violet color; tart black fruit, plum nose; tasty, ripe berry, black fruit, tart blackberry puree palate with near medium acidity; medium-plus finish (12 months in French oak, 1/3 new) 88+ points

Dark red fruits with pepper and spice on the nose. Palate is similar with a dusty soil element in the mid palate. Better with food than on its own.
