Has lost it’s cherry and fruit aromas and most of its structure. Bottle was cellared for 15 years, but this has lost its excitement and is ready to be cooking wine

tighter and dryer style merlot while maintaining the grapes medium body and big cherry notes. not over oaked or extracted.
on opening, fresh cherry pie filling on the nose and palate. graphite and pepper with a hint of chocolate will please the cab drinkers. menthol, dark fruit, and more chocolate come through with a few hours of air.
firm tannins and strong acidity will benefit from a little more time in the cellar but this is absolutely drinking now.
i liked the tighter structure and pure bright fruit here. not as, "big," as other WS Merlots i've had but still a pleasure to drink on its own.

Nice balanced wine with lots of fruit and a pleasant earthiness. Good length. Nice drinking.

in line with previous note.
big black cherry cough drop, charred oak, volcanic minerality.
more candied red fruit with air. swedish fish, and leafy cherry.
great balance of juicy acid and ripe fruit.
medium body, sweet tannin, with a clean dry finish.
good merlot right here.
